Description

Mashed or roasted potatoes are a classic and comforting side dish, we add pan drippings from the chicken to ours to deepen the flavor. Asparagus, and roasted peppers are nice, easy vegetable compliments to this chicken. Finally, especially if you’re serving on Shabbat or Yom Tov, pair this chicken with Sephardic Jeweled Rice or a quinoa salad.

Home Cook's Recommendation

For a perfect roast broiler chicken, cook it for 25 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and cook for another hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Baste the chicken with oil or pan juices every 15 minutes to keep it juicy and flavorful.

Beverage Pairing

White wine or beer is a classic and refreshing choice. Choose a light and crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or Riesling, or a hoppy and bitter beer like IPA or Pale Ale. Mocktails or juice are also a fun and fruity option. Use fresh fruits, herbs, or sparkling water for extra flavor and fizz.
